Every year during December we have the opportunity to serve the poor in our community by sheltering the homeless at River Valley Church for a week. In this we fulfill the command of Christ to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:3-31). We do this by providing women and children warm evening meals and a warm place to sleep. We are one of many wonderful churches partnering with REST or the Regional Emergency Shelter Team through the Winter season.
